★ GERALD CLAYTON TRIO (Tuesday through Thursday) Gerald Clayton, a briskly confident young pianist, mingles standards with his own compositions in this working trio, featuring Joe Sanders on bass and Justin Brown on drums. The group, making its Village Vanguard debut, comes on the heels of celebration: Mr. Clayton received a Grammy nomination for his work on “Two-Shade” (ArtistShare), the trio’s strong debut.
